(Electric Energy Conversion System Research Division) major research actives include development of new theory, and derivation of new analysis and design method, relatived to energy conversion system from mechanical to electrical and vice versa, Firstly, fast, convenient, and efficent numerical analysis method including related software to calculate electromagnetic flux distribution and electromagnetic force has been developed, such as FEM (Finite Element Method) and BEM (Boundary Element Method). Scondly, sensitivity method topology optimization, and stochastic method has been studied, which can be applied for optimum design of energy conversion system. Thirdly, induction motor with higher efficiency, linear actuator with high thrust, superconductiong transformer, and electric machinery using superconducting technology has been developed.
All research results have been delivered to the research engneers from universities and industries through workshops and short coures.
